Iraq prepares evidence for UN Chief envoy

Saturday, October 31, 2009 09:11 GMT
Baghdad has prepared hundreds of evidence and documentation that prove the implication of Baathists, Takfiris and external parties from neighboring countries in terrorist bombings. Iraq plans to submit evidence to UN Chief’s special envoy to Iraq Oscar Fernandez Taranco who will be visiting Baghdad soon. Iraq is calling as well to include Al Salhiya bombings in the international investigation.
Sunday’s bombings file will be complete during UN Chief’s special envoy visit, said a member of parliamentary defense and security committee Adel Barawri. Al Salhiya bombings investigations will be presented separately within the same course in order to strengthen Iraq’s stand, he added.
The bombings file to be passed to Taranko includes several evidence on external support to terrorists in Iraq mainly that gory Wednesday and black Sunday blasts probe proved that perpetrators have been extended foreign logistic support, Barawri told Al Sabah Newspaper.
