Will Saturday be a turning point in Iraq’s Parliament as to the ratification of the elections law and proposed amendments? Nothing is certain till now especially that proposed suggestions are being rejected by concerned parties.
While Wednesday was supposed to be decisive about this issue, the situation turned upside down at the last minute, thus sapping all options on the table mainly by Kurds, Arab and Turkmen.
Hopes are high on Saturday now especially that head of Independent High Electoral Commission Faraj Al Haydari announced that technically it is no longer possible to hold elections on time even if the elections law is passed ahead of Saturday.
