Italy earthquake death toll nears 300 |

The toll of the violent earthquake that stroke the center of Italy is about to reach 300 dead while aftershocks are still taking place. Practically there is no more hope to find any new survivors. Minister of Interior Roberto Maroni said the search for survivors would be extended by two days to Sunday. Meanwhile, Giorgio Napolitano arrived to L'Aquila's in order to survey the damage.
