Unified Coalition and Kurdistan Alliance parties have shown support to the US-Iraqi security agreement. In this regard, Baghdad tribes held an extended conference during which political powers called to ratify the security agreement as it serves national interest.
On the other hand, Al Fadhila (Virtue) Party MP Hassan Al Shumari announced that his parliamentarian party will not vote in favor of the security agreement calling on all political powers to take responsibility.
For his part, Sadr Front spokesman Salah Al Ubaidi called to intensify political and popular efforts to reject US-Iraqi security agreement. Al Ubaidi did not rule out resistance while the Interior Ministry warned anyone who might try to threaten security.
