On Tuesday Al Iraqiya List said that it nominated three new candidates for the Minister of Defense position and pointed that Salem Dali is the most likely to win the post. The List added that many surprises will take place on the level of security file and political agreements. “Al Iraqiya List has 3 new candidates to Defense Minister postion” said Zuhair Al Aaraji, Al Iraqiya List MP. “Salem Dali is the most likely to be chosen”, he added without mentioning the other names. “We hope that National Alliance takes a decision regarding the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of National Security” Aaraji uttered. “Soon there will be surprises as to security file and the political agreements,” he added. On Tuesday, State of Law Coalition held Iraq Speaker Ussama Al Nujaifi and Al Iraqiya List responsible for the delay in appointing ministers in security Ministries. State of Law Coalition MP Ali Al Shalaa said that Al Iraqiya is adopting a policy that aims at preventing the government from working and added that the Speaker favors some parties on the expense of others. Iraq Premier Nouri Al Maliki is running Security Ministries as acting minister for about 4 month now since the formation of the government in January 22nd. Since then political parties accuse each other of delaying appointing security ministers. Meanwhile, many politicians warn that stalling in dealing with this file might have negative repercussions on the security situation in Iraq.
