Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri Al Maliki ended his two-day official visit to Iran after meeting with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmedinejad, Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iranian Vice-President Parviz Davoudi and Foreign Minister Manushaher Mottaki. Ahead of his return to Iraq, Al Maliki told reporters that his visit to Tehran resulted of the formation of a supreme joint committee and a follow up committee for bilateral relations development. He noted as well that it has been agreed to form a services company with Iran when Iraq is completely stable and when the national unity government starts reconstruction affirming that he is looking forward for Iraq’s help in Iraq rebuild. Iraqi PM clarified that Iraq will cooperate not only with Iran but with other countries in the region such as Saudi Arabia, Syria and Turkey in order to accelerate development and prosperity in Iraq. Al Maliki affirmed to the Iranian State Television that his government will not allow using Iraq territories as a threat against its neighbors. For his part, Iran\'s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei warned Al Maliki that “treacherous” United States habitually broke pacts like one it recently concluded on American troops quitting Iraq. Khamenei “pointed at the American government\'s mischief and efforts to consolidate its domination and plunder the resources of the country,” state television said. He reiterated Iran’s view that the presence of U.S. and British forces was largely to blame for violence and other problems in Iraq.
