A Source in the Ministry of Interior revealed that an Interior Ministry employee was arrested for being involved in torture issues and human rights violation. The source did not reveal the name of the employee in a statement to the Independent News Agency. However, the same source added that the arrested disclosed information about 10 other employees involved in torture issues and human rights violations in the Interior Ministry detention centers. The source pointed out that the Committee that was formed in order to investigate in this subject is waiting for the results of medical examination that was done to the detainees in order to conform them with their saying and with the traces on their bodies and that in order to get to know how they were beaten. It is to be noted that the Sadrist bloc had accused senior officers in the Ministry of Interior of violating human rights and torturing detainees. The bloc had also called to investigate with these officers.
