Syria reiterated its support to Iraq’s rebuild and development and its willingness to increase Euphrates water flow to Iraq. Syria’s stand came clear in the meeting between Iraqi Energy and Electricity Minister Wahid Karim and Syrian Prime Minister Mohammed Naji Al Otari in Damascus. Al Otari affirmed Syria’s willingness to extend Iraq with necessary support in reconstruction and development fields. The meeting tackled as well cooperation over water supplies, electrical energy generation and technical expertise exchange.
