Iraq Prime Minister Nuri Al Maliki criticized canceling the article concerning the rights of minorities from the draft law of regional elections approved by the parliament last week. In a message he addressed to the Parliament’s Speaker Mahmoud Al Mashhadani, his two deputies and the elections commission called “to find a solution and remove the feeling of worry, a feeling of being oppressed or alienated, which has affected real communities who are proud to be Iraqis”. \"We are committed to guarantee a fair representation of all Iraqi components and defend their rights,\" he said in a statement issued by his office.
