The Israeli army will begin providing its tanks with a new anti-missile system, following stinging losses caused by missiles fired by Hezbollah militants in the 2006 Lebanon war, Israeli sources said. The Trophy system that will be will be installed on the latest generation Merkava IV tanks tracks incoming missiles and fires a projectile to explode the missiles before they reach their target, a military official said. It is to be noted that Hezbollah militants used modern anti-tanks guided missiles which caused huge damages to the Israeli army.
