Damascus denounced Baghdad demand to set up an international tribunal. In a joint press conference with visiting Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez to Syria, President Bashar Al Assad said internationalization was never neutral and made no achievements, it just caused tragedies, he added. Appropriate solutions come basically from the region\'s people. It is an acknowledgement of our incompetence in managing our affairs, whether major or minor, he explained. According to Baghdad, defunct Baath Party officials have ordered recent bombings from Syria. On the other hand, President Hugo Chavez, on Thursday, lambasted Israel as a \"genocidal\" and \"killer\" state and demanded the return of the Golan Heights to Syria. Venezuela and Syria are facing the same \"struggles\" and have the same \"enemies,\" Chavez said, adding: \"Israel has become the enforcer of the policies of the American empire.\" \"It is time to raise Nasser\'s flag again, for socialism, people power and the liberation of the Arab people,\" Chavez noted. Assad continued: \"Israel is not ready to make peace either in the short term or the long term”. The Venezuelan president arrived on Thursday for a two-day visit, part of a regional tour which has already taken him to Libya and Algeria. Afterwards he is scheduled to go to Iran, Belarus and Russia.
