Visiting Jordanian Prime Minister Nader Al Dahabi to Baghdad met with Iraqi President Jalal Talabani before leaving for Kurdistan. Jordan’s PM noted that his country is willing to calm tensions between Baghdad and Damascus on account of Iraq’s accusations to Syria over embracing terrorists responsible for recent Baghdad bombings. President Talabani and PM Al Dahabi discussed bilateral relations and recent developments in the region, a statement by Iraqi President’s office said. President Talabani stressed the necessity to promote bilateral relations in all fields in what serves common interests, the statement added. He underlined as well the importance of improving Iraqi relations with neighboring countries in general and Jordan in particular. Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri Al Maliki received his Jordanian counterpart who arrived to Baghdad on Thursday in an official visit to discuss a series of trade, economics, energy and transport agreements in addition to other issues of common interest.
