US-Iraqi joint forces raided Al Karma District in Falluja and arrested 15 suspects thought to be involved in Baghdad recent bombings, including head of Water Directorate Qassem Ikab and head of Electricity Directorate Abdul Sater Ismail. In Abu Ghraib, District local council member Ahmad Al Khazerji was killed with his son while his wife and two kids were wounded in an explosion targeting his car in eastern Fallujah. Al Khazerji was implicated in fighting financial and administrative corruption and he was calling to dismiss a number of the city’s chiefs, an informed source in Abu Ghraib District local council revealed to Alsumaria News. Iraqi security forces closed off the new bridge between Al Ramadi and Al Qadissiya after intelligence reported that a car bomb driven by a suicide bomber entered the region heading towards the bridge. In Mosul, unknown gunmen shot dead a traffic policeman in front of his house in Al Karama District. A security guard policeman was killed in Bab Al Tob region in front of A l Rafidain Bank. A sniper in Al Shifaa District wounded an Iraqi soldier on patrol.
