Jordan and Turkey announced that they signed a free trade agreement as well as they agreed to scrap visa requirements for each other\'s nationals, during talks between the Jordanian King Abdullah II and the Turkish President Abdullah Gul who is paying a visit to the Jordanian Kingdom. \"The free trade agreement, which was signed today, is key to enhancing bilateral economic cooperation and boosting trade as well as investments between Jordan and Turkey,\" a palace statement quoted the king as telling Gul. \"The two sides discussed efforts to strengthen cooperation in the fields of transport and energy,\" the statement added. In addition Abdullah II and Gul talked over efforts exerted in order to overcome the obstacles which are hindering the Israeli-Palestinian negotiations in order to reach peace based on the solution of establishing two countries according to the competent authorities and in a comprehensive regional context.
