Iraqi President Jalal Talabani said on Thursday the Iraqi presidency council was investigating the legality of the decision by the Justice and Accountability Commission to ban hundreds of candidates from Iraqi upcoming Parliamentary elections because of ties to the defunct Baath party. President Talabani affirmed in a press conference that he does not oppose the participation of Baath Party members in elections, yet, he approves it, he said. Iraqi President stressed as well that he does not mind engaging non-Saddamist Baathists in all fields of life. For more details, click on play movie.
