Iraqi State Oil Marketing Organization (SOMO) said that Iraq oil exports decreased slightly in January to reach 1.926 million barrels per day. The average of exports until January 30 was of 1.980 million bpd. The official who spoke under condition of unanimity did not mention the cause of the drop in the final number but said that the bad weather conditions crippled exporting activity in Basra southern port during the last few days.
