Iraq’s Government condemned the kidnap of a US contractor by Asaib Al Haq group saying it’s a violation to their pledge of renouncing violence, Cabinet spokesman Ali Al Dabbagh told Alsumaria News. Iraqi Cabinet urged the group to release the hostage immediately. The kidnap is rejected, Al Dabbagh stressed saying that the government had welcomed the group’s new political orientation and renunciation of violence as part of Iraq’s national reconciliation. Asaib Ahl Haq announced that the group abducted an American in Baghdad in 2006. It reported on Saturday that it has kidnapped another American of Iraqi nationality two weeks ago. Asaib Al Haq holds two American hostages, an official from the group speaking on condition of anonymity said. The recent kidnap took place in Al Karkh District in retaliation to the arrest of Asaib Al Haw leaders by the US Military.
