An Iranian website said that Iranian opposition leader Mir Hussain Mousavi refused the authority accusations saying that the opposition has connections with foreign countries. Mousavi stressed that the elections are an internal Iranian affair and no foreign country has anything to do with them, according to the same website. The green movement in Iran is independent and will not allow the foreigners to interfere in it, Mousavi added. Iran former reformist President Mohammad Khatami called the Iranians to attend the gatherings to mark the rise of the Islamic revolution in 1979. Khatami refused allegations accusing reformists of having links with foreign governments. Khatami was also quoted as saying that all along his reformist movement he did not lay hopes on foreigners as they do not have good intentions towards Iran.
