Turkish political and military leaders undertook to reach a solution in the framework of laws and constitution in order to solve the crisis that emerged after the arrest of military men allegedly accused of plotting a coup in 2003 in order to overthrow the Islamic-rooted conservative government. Anatolia News agency said that the two former leaders of navy and air force were released after being investigated. To that, following an urgent meeting between the Army Chief of Staff Ilker Basbug, Turkish President Abdullah Gul and Turkish Premier Recep Tayyip Erdogan, a statement issued by the presidential palace said that the problems will be solved in the constitution framework and the statement added that everybody should act wisely so that the civil institutions do no get weak during this process.
