Iraq’s Elections High security committee announced that elections special security plan succeeded. In a joint press conference with Baghdad Operations Command spokesman Brigadier Qassem Ata, head of the committee Major Aydan Khaled affirmed the success of the security plan while applauding security forces whom he regarded as heroes. Security forces’ mission is not done yet as they will ensure the transfer of ballot boxes when counting votes is completed, Khaled added. Brigadier Qassem Ata confirmed in his turn that terrorists’ attempts were doomed to failure as voters poured in to electoral centers manifesting a strong will.
