Jordanian King Abdullah II warned from carrying on settlement expansion policy and stressed that these measures undermine peace opportunities and increases tension and instability in the Middle East. After a meeting with President of the European Parliament (EP) Jerzy Buzek, King Abdullah Office published a statement saying that the king warned Israel from carrying on building settlements policy and blamed the unilateral steps that aim at changing the identity of Jerusalem city and threaten the sacred places therein. Jordanian King laid the emphasis on the important role Europe plays in intensifying efforts aiming at overcoming hindrances that impede reaching a progress in solving the Palestinian Israeli conflict based on the two states solution in accordance with the adopted references especially Arab peace initiative.
