Election results of 60% of votes in remaining Iraqi provinces are expected today or tomorrow. Independent High Electoral Commission announced meanwhile partial results in Basra where State of Law Coalition is taking pole position. Al Iraqiya Coalition is ahead in Anbar and Kurdistan Alliance a front-runner in Dahuk. Results in Dahuk were remarkably surprising as 60% of results showed the list of former Prime Minister Iyad Allawi in the lead position surpassing Kurdistan Alliance. These first results contradicted general expectations that were pointing out to the lead of Kurdistan Alliance.
