British Prime Minister Gordon Brown affirmed that he is intending to stay on as leader of the Labor Party if they lose their parliamentary majority at the forthcoming legislative elections expected to be held this spring. Brown told the BBC that he owes that to people and he has to carry on and finish the work he started, \"I owe it to people to continue and complete the work that we have started of taking this country out of the most difficult financial recession\", Brown said. However, Polls show that the opposition is expected to win the elections next spring, but with a slight advance over Labor party which means that the opposition won’t be able to take an absolute majority in the parliament.
