Iraq’s Unity Coalition Secretary General, Parliament Speaker, Iyad Al Samarraie explained that low results of Iraq’s Unity Coalition in parliamentary elections are due to the Coalition’s weak leadership.
The Coalition’s leadership is weak mainly that some parties within misled the Coalition, thus spurring a great deal of disappointment, Al Samarraie told Al Sharq Al Awsat Newspaper.
The Coalition has misused funds, he added, pointing out to the possibility of the coalition disintegration.
Iraq’s Unity Coalition agenda does not differ from Al Iraqiya’s, yet, Al Iraqiya Coalition is luckier and joins more parties, he said.
We should have allied with Al Iraqiya in elections but it did not work out due to leaders’ race to Premiership, Al Samarraie argued.
