Saudi Arabia's national carrier has resumed flights to Iraq for the first time since 1991. Saudi Arabian Airlines contracted with the privately-owned Al-Wafeer Airlines to run daily flights between the two countries. The airplane landed in Basra airport today at 8:15 am. The only flights from Iraq to Saudi Arabia being operated by Al-Wafeer Airlines carry worshipers for the annual Muslim Hajj every year.
