The visiting US delegation to Iraq including Puneet Talwar, head of the Iraq policy team on National Security Council and Tony Blinken, the Council advisor for Middle Eastern affairs notified Prime Minister Nuri Al Maliki and head of Al Iraqiya List Iyad Allawi about Washington’s will to have them allied while keeping Al Sadr Front out of the political decision making, sources told Al Hayat Newspaper. The delegates hinted an alternative stipulating to support an internal and international orientation according to which an interim government would be formed in order to prepare for new elections if the political freeze continues, the same sources revealed.
