From Sanaa, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas stressed after meeting Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh that he clings to stepping forward in direct talks to which Mideast Quartet called stressing that the Palestinians will lose nothing if Israel was not responsive and the negotiations failed. As to the stands of the Palestinians forces and movements opposing the direct talks, Abbas said that the Palestinians respect the opinion and counter-opinion as long as democracy prevails and uttered readiness to meet Hamas leadership if they go to sign the inter-Palestinian reconciliation agreement in Cairo.
