Israeli media said that Israeli Minister of Defense Ehud Barak met secretly on Sunday Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in Amman after meeting the Jordanian King Abdullah II the same day. Israeli Army radio said that this meeting was held in a special house in the Jordanian capital Amman and it comes in the framework of the preparations to resume direct talks that will be launched on Thursday in Washington. The radio added that Barack and Abbas talked over the good will intentions that Israel can make for West Bank inhabitants along with the resumption of direct talks which were stalled since 20 months.
