Israeli Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu called the Palestinian President to be his partner in ending decades of conflict, "President Abbas, you are my partner in peace. And it is up to us, with the help of our friends, to conclude the agonizing conflict between our two peoples," Netanyahu said. To that he also undertook to get guarantees over security issues. On the other hand, Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas called to stop all Israeli settlement activities adding that it is time for peace. President Abbas and Prime Minister Netanyahu huddled cordially in a small circle smiling and shaking hands.
