National Alliance members met at the house of Ahmad Chalabi, head of the National Congress Party and member of the National Alliance, to discuss the mechanisms of naming a candidate for Premiership. No compromise candidate was named following the meeting. It has been agreed that the National Alliance is the one to name the candidate for Premiership who will be appointed by the President to form the government. National Coalition member Hadi Al Amiri noted that the meeting evoked a number of mechanisms that allow them to elect a Prime Minister. Talks will be carried out on Tuesday. National Coalition MP Nassar Al Rubaie affirmed for his part that the meeting stressed most importantly on the necessity to preserve unity within the national alliance.
