Iraqiya leader Iyad Allawi accused Iraqi government of failing to ascertain security and provide services, a source told Alsumaria. Allawi took the floor during the Middle East and North Africa Conference held in Italy and affirmed that certain regional countries are interfering in Iraq’s internal affairs pointing out to pressures on the political process in what serves the interest of specified parties. The situation in Iraq comes in light of an absent policy for the International Community and mounting regional tension, Allawi argued. Extremist groups have influenced most of the regional countries mainly Iraq as it caused the disintegration of state institutions and adopted arbitrary de-baathification policies through political and sectarian apportionment, Allawi concluded.
