Kurdistan Workers Party rejected the call of Iraqi President Jalal Talabani to choose between laying down their weapons or leaving the country. PKK senior official Haval Roz said Talabani’s statements are mistaken and serve the interest of the Kurdish people’s enemies. He affirmed that no party has the right to impose on Kurdistan Workers Party fighters to lay down their weapons or leave Kurdistan. Roz accused Turkey of spurring division between Kurds in Turkey and Iraq by approaching Kurdish leaders in Iraq.
