Iraq Defense, Interior and Health Ministries reported that 355 people were killed and 750 others wounded in April, making it the deadliest month since September 2008. The death toll includes 290 civilians, 24 soldiers and 41 policemen. The death toll was 40 percent higher than in March as concerned authorities reported the death of 250 people. On the other hand, Iraqi and international coalition forces killed in April 53 terrorists and arrest 831 others.
